Greenwood Real Estate Today
Lining the shores of Lake Minnetonka, Greenwood has sustained its small roots, being just a square mile in size. More than half of the two hundred and twenty nine homes in this small community are situated on the pristine shoreline of Lake Minnetonka. The limited amount of homes, matched with the beautiful South Lower Lake shoreline, contribute to the high demand of Greenwood real estate.

Greenwood is home to one of the longest running theaters in the country. This theater was originally the summer estate of Harry G. Kuechle, and included tennis courts, a green house, a stable and a guest house. The year was 1940 when Harry was met by a group of local actors who wanted to turn the stable into a theater. One short year later, the cedar log stable opened its curtains. The guests were greeted by the orchestra of wildlife sounding from the adjacent pond as they walk through the garden paths to the doors of the Old Log Theater. A young, talented actor named Don Stolz was a part of the original production. It would be his love for acting and sharing the joy of the theater that allowed the Old Log to grow, so much that in 1946 he purchased the theater. He directed and ran the everyday operations of the theater for over seventy years. With the exception of the larger theater, this pristine estate remains as beautiful as ever and the curtain continues to rise at the Old Log Theater. The city of Greenwood continues to boast as the theater’s proud home. Audiences of all ages are still entertained at the outstanding performances, and home seekers are consistently drawn to the beauty and charisma of Greenwood real estate. Show Less...
